Sit back, relax, and let us bring the museum to your seat! The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village offers award-winning Mobility-Impaired On-Site Driving Tours in July and August. These tours allow groups of participants with mobility challenges to enjoy a driving tour of our historical village from the comfort of your group’s bus. Our costumed interpreters deliver programming on-board the bus, so participants do not step on and off the bus at each historic building. (Note: These special tours are the only time when modern buses/ handi-vans are allowed to drive through our historical village.)
Tour dates are now fully booked for the 2024 summer season. We are only able to accommodate new requests if there is a cancellation.
For those who have already booked, a reminder to enhance your visit with an authentic Ukrainian meal. An optional lunch is also available before or after the tour. Whether you purchase lunch or bring your own, your group will eat lunch in the Silska Domiwka (Red Barn).
Available dates: Friday, July 19, Thursday, July 26, Thursday, August 8 and Thursday, August 15.
Cost: Program fee ($13 per senior, $15 per adult), plus optional lunch cost. Healthcare aides assisting participants receive free admission. Group discounts available for groups of 15 or more paid participants.
Tour times: 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Note: A minimum of 10 participants and a bus or handi-van is required to book this program.
