Sit back, relax, and let us bring the museum to your seat! The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is pleased to announce that our award-winning Mobility-Impaired On-Site Driving Tours are returning in 2023. These tours allow groups of participants with mobility challenges to enjoy a driving tour of our historical village from the comfort of your group’s bus.
These tours are offered on four dates: Friday, July 21, Thursday, July 27, Wednesday, August 9, and Friday, August 11. These special tours are the only time when modern buses/handi-vans are allowed to drive through our historical village. Our costumed interpreters deliver programming on-board the bus so participants do not step on and off the bus at each historic building.
Complete your visit with an authentic Ukrainian meal! An optional lunch is also available before or after the tour. Whether you purchase lunch or bring your own, your group will eat lunch in the Silska Domiwka (Red Barn).
Available dates: Friday, July 21, Thursday, July 27, Wednesday, August 9 and Friday, August 11.
Cost: General admission for participants ($13 per senior, $15 per adult), plus optional lunch cost. Healthcare aides assisting participants receive free admission. Group discounts available for groups of 15 or more paid participants.
Available tour times: 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Note: A minimum of 10 participants and a bus or handi-van is required to book this program.
